National Museum of African American Music

The National Museum of African American Music is dedicated to celebrating the rich and diverse history of African American music. Located in the heart of Nashville’s vibrant music scene, the museum features an immersive experience that explores the impact African American artists have had on American music, including gospel, blues, jazz, R&B, hip-hop, and more. The Museum opened in June 2021.

Completed as Graphics Director and Design Director with G&A Strategy & Design. Liza partnered with the client to develop the conceptual strategy for the overall layout of the galleries, material, typography, color and graphic approaches, as well as interactive concepts. Liza oversaw the development of these concepts through Schematic Design, Design Development, Contract Documents, Bid/Negotiation, Construction Administration (including shop drawing review, sample review, creation of Final Digital Artwork and oversight of installation).
