The TEP Interpretive Center immerses guests in the history of desegregation by encouraging them to “walk in the shoes” of the three girls who desegregated the historic McDonogh 19 public school in November 1960 in the Lower 9th Ward. Stage 1 of the exhibits has been installed, and the project is currently fundraising to develop the exhibit’s immersive media.
