American Revolution Center at Yorktown

The American Revolution Center at Yorktown relocated to a new campus, including new construction of the main museum. G&A completely reimagined main exhibit galleries, integrating a rich color palette reflective of the pigments of the late 18th Century. G&A and the client team developed several hands-on interactives to engage young visitors. G&A coordinated construction of a 4d theater in partnership with architects DLR, with a film experience developed by Cortina Production. G&A also oversaw the development and installation of several dioramas with figures created by Studio EIS.
G&A also oversaw the development of signage and wayfinding, including the exterior monument, parking lot wayfinding, interior wayfinding, the capital campaign donor wall, and donor naming recognition throughout the museums and galleries.
Exhibits CA and FDA completed as Project Executive and Sr Graphic Designer with G&A Strategy & Design; Signage, wayfinding and donor program developed as Project Executive, Creative Lead, and Senior Graphic Designer with G&A Strategy & Design. Liza developed the signage and donor system from concept to installation in partnership with the client’s development team. For the exhibits, she oversaw the construction administration process with the fabricator, ensuring shop drawing and installation compliance with design intent. She also led the FDA process, completing a large part of the FDA herself.
